A trishaw is a specially built pedicab with electric assist designed to accommodate the needs of usually mobility-impaired residents of older adult living communities. There are no step-ups to the seat, and the cyclist is behind the passenger, allowing the cyclist to monitor the passenger’s well-being, and easily converse, while offering our passengers unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape during our usual 60 – 90 minutes trishaw rides.
The trishaw is a three wheel cycle designed specifically for transporting people with limited mobility. It is designed to easily accommodate two adults even when climbing on the bike paths up most Colorado hillsides. With its soft cushions and the ease of entry, the trishaw provides ready accessibility for people with walking difficulties. Once seated, safety is key with a seatbelt per passenger. The trishaw has a retractable hood for really sunny days and a waterproof blanket for not-so-sunny days. Its many windows ensure a superb all-round view with the hood up or down.
" My Dad's life at the center was so improved once he started taking regular rides on the trishaw. He's just plain happier and nicer."
Cycling Without Age in Copenhagen was our inspiration. By watching this video, you'll get to see why.
