A Trishaw is “Freedom!”, an elderly lady cries out loud, as we’re all sitting in a circle at the local nursing home. We’re sharing memories of cycling and what cycling means to each of us. Everyone nods and we all agree that cycling is about freedom, joy and adventure, which can be hard to come by if you’re in a nursing home.
Revisitng the CU Boulder campus brought back such great memories for CU alum and past employee. 'Such beautiful campus, great students, magnificant buildings and the slow easy ride on the trishaw allowed for sharing such rememberances' -- resident at Golden West
"Over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother's house we go!!"
"The pilots really deserve a round of applause. They are volunteers! These pilots are unbelievable and know exactly what to say and where to take us." -Robbie
"WOO! I am Queen for the day! I love seeing the beautiful trees and being outside! Summer is here!" -Lois
"Just want to tell you how very much I enjoyed the Trishaw trip and honestly, my friends were just blown away with the pleasure of it. Also, I coaxed my neighbor into riding with me--she never would have if she'd had time to think about it, and she really loved it. So, truly it was such a fun, lovely time. Thank you for caring and giving me the extra chance to experience it. Also, our drivers were absolutely GREAT!! Please let them know how much they were appreciated." -Fauneal
We all work together to provide the trishaw experience so the "most venerable do not become the least visible".
